In the Hoover Platinum Collection Series, the cordless models use Hoover's new Linx battery system. A no-fade Lithium-ion battery runs at full power throughtout the charge, most other cordless vacuums will begin to loose power as the charge is lost. The Linx battery pack is used in several different models, conveniently changing from one machine to the next with the pull of a switch.
